SBB | e-business | alliancemanagement | 2011 – 2012

The SBB is the Swiss National Railway company owned by the federal government, but managed like a private company. Therefor she is allowed (and encouraged) to apply additional ways to generate revenue. One of the most visited websites and most used mobile apps in Switzerland are the ones of SBB, thus opening opportunities to generate revenue online through advertising and partnerships. My task as an Alliance Manager was given to me in a short sentence : "Find out how and where we can generate revenue using our existing digital channels."
